I finally decided it was time to start a blog, mostly because every day something happens that I wish I could remember forever, and I know I won't.  It is time to start keeping track of all the funny things Elle says and the cute smiles of Zoey.  So first off are introductions.  This is Elizabeth Riley (aka Elle) 4/7/08
This is her go-to camera face, or funny face.  She has the cutest voice and is very helpful.  In fact her favorite thing to do is help with whatever mom, dad, grandma, or whoever is doing.  There has not been one time basically since she was walking that I have gotten the broom out without her grabbing the dustpan.  Lately, she has been helping get out diapers and wipes and throwing dirty diapers away and making sure her sister is covered with a blanket.  She loves DORA and CINDERELLA as well as the other Disney Princesses.  She loves to dig and work outside mostly with Daddy and Grandma.  She loves to go to the park and swing.  Elle loves a good party especially if it involves her cousins.  She loves to play with cousins and usually is cracking up when she is playing with them.

Next up is Zoey Mae
born 10/20/10
7lbs 10 oz
21inches

That second picture was within minutes of arrival, and already such a doll!  The word she was most described as was alert.  Her hospital nurse, my friend Kate, said she was the most alert baby she had had in the nursery. So interested in what was going on from day 1. She literally gave me a smile the first time in my arms and has been a smiley baby since.  I don't understand how anyone can say babies "can't smile" or it is just gas.  They show you when they are sad, why would they not be able to show happy?  I knew that wasn't true because Elle used to smile when she was a new baby, and now Zoey smiles even more than she did.  Zoey gives smiles after she has a full tummy or when we play/talk to her and I know I can get a guaranteed smile when she gets in the bath and I start washing her fuzzy hair.  She has loved baths from the start, if she ever needs to cheer up I stick her in the sink and I instantly get thanked by her flashing her happy face.
